It is such a privilege to be working with such great students and in a caring and supportive district. I have been with Brookwood schools for almost 20 years. During this time I have taught Spanish at all grade levels, introduced a Leadership course to the older students, and have created the school yearbook. I also help with musical sets and collaborate with other teachers to create some pretty cool events through out the year! This year my new opportunity has been creating a world language course where we incorporate culture and independent learning through a variety of language APPS. I love trying out new ideas and having fun with my students! There is always something cool going on in room 135.
I love being artsy. My room is often the messiest busiest room in the school that has the janitors cringing as they go by. No worries however, because the students do a great job cleaning up! In addition to my dog and my artwork, I love to read, walk, take pictures, and spend time at the beach.
Spanish is offered at all grade levels. As a 7th and 8th graders students are on course for higher level classes in high school. This year our students are starting a new series in 7th & 8th grade that has been adopted by both Lake Geneva Middle School and Badger high school.
Leadership is a course offered to 7th and 8th graders and focuses on character development, team building, and decision making.
World language exploration is a new class offered and is designed for students to work at their own pace on a language app or program. Students will present their findings to the class and prepare an exhibit for the school display wall.
